To participate you must be a member of jumpcross, which if you are a member of pony club or riding club you will get at a discounted rate. For full details on annual membership and what benefits you get for your money, please click on the following link;Jumpcross Membership Remeber this allows you to compete and train at other venues too.

Jumpcross are intending to hold a national competition at the end of the 2010 season (date to be announced). where the riders with the highest accumulated points from our 2 competitions will be qualified to compete at. i.e. you will go forward to represent Ovenstone Equine at the Scottish Championships.Further details can be seen by clicking on; Jumpcross League Structure. More details on how this will work for us at Ovenstone will be posted here soon.


7 classes
Class 1 - 2'0"-2'6" for all ages
Class 2 - avr. 2'9" for juniors
Class 3 - avr. 2'9" for seniors
Class 4 - 3'0" - 3'3" for juniors
Class 5 - 3'0" - 3'3" for seniors
Class 6 - avr. 2'9" for teams
Class 7 - 3'0" - 3'3" for teams

The course will be available to walk on Sat 10th April

Body protectors and skull caps must be worn when riding.

Class 1 will start at 10am and run through to class 7. Approx times will be put up here with the running order on friday 9th.

All entry forms must be in by Tuesday the 6th of April. Remember to allow time to become a member first.

Sun 25th Apr. - O.D.E.

This will take the form you are used to, however the cross country phase will be replaced by jumpcross.

Their will be 5 classes;
Class 1 - Ponies jumping max 60cm
Class 2 - Horses jumping max 60cm
Class 3 - Ponies Jumping max 75cm
Class 4 - Horses jumping max 75cm
Class 5 - Hoses/Ponies jumping max 90cm (please show on entry form whether horse or pony so that showjumping related distance may be altered)

The jumpcross course will be available to walk on sat 24th.
The showjumping course may be walked before the start of that class height.

Body protectors and skull caps must be worn when riding the jumpcross phase.

Start time will be 9am but individual times will be put up here on friday 23rd or phone for times on the friday evening 07816 394199.

Rosettes to 6th place

All classes are £25 per class, Payable to Ovenstone Equine

A league system will be in place covering all 3 of the dressage competitions this year, with the rider with the most points in each class getting a trophy.

All classes are £8 per class, Payable to Ovenstone Equine

Rules / Disclaimer Notice / Conditions of Entry

Riding is a dangerous sport, you do so entirely at your own risk.

Neither the organisers of any event to which these rules apply, persons acting on their behalf or owners of the land accepts liability for any accident, loss, damage, injury or illness to horses, owners, riders, spectators, land or any other person or property what so ever, whether caused by their negligence, breach of contract or in any other way what so ever.


1. The Organisers reserve the right to cancel, alter advertised times or refuse entry where necessary.

2. It is a condition of entry that: -
a) All competitors must comply with stewards/judges instructions at all times.
b) Any person, when mounted, must wear a riding hat to the minimum standard complying with the BRC Rules (EN1384/PAS015 Standard Riding Hat). Failure to do so will result in elimination. It should be securely fastened at all times
(i) jumpcross competitors must wear a non fixed peak hat (skull cap) and a body protector.
(ii)the wearing of body protectors is encouraged in all other jumping events.
c) Horses must not be exercised, warmed up, cantered or galloped in the horsebox/car parking / viewing area.

3. The judge's decision is final. Arguing with the judges or other officials will lead to disqualification.

4. Any complaint must be lodged, prior to the Prize giving of that class within 30 minutes of the incident, in writing accompanied with a £20 deposit to the Secretary. The deposit will be refunded if the complaint is upheld or at the discretion of the Organiser. This decision is final.

5. Please ensure that all litter and general debris, i.e. drink cans, bandage tapes, straw, etc. are disposed of tidily or taken home.

6. All ridden horses/ponies must be 4 years old or over.

7. Dogs are welcome but must be kept on a lead at all times. Any dog poo should be picked up and disposed of properly.

All entries must be accompanied by the appropriate fees.
